Merchants Of Brooklyn: M.O.B

LANGUAGE: English
YEAR: 2009 PC
PUBLISHER: Paleo Entertainment
DEVELOPER: Paleo Entertainment
SIZE: 839Mb
GENRE: shooter
DESCRIPTION: There are plenty of reasons for plenty of people to dislike and steer completely clear of San Diego-based Paleo Entertainment’s very first solo shooter, Merchants of Brooklyn. Reason Number One: It’s violent. Ultra-violent. Imagine, if you will, a weapon that not only blows a guy to smithereens and covers the screen with more blood than a MASH unit, but also causes him to burst into flames and even projectile vomit all over himself for several painful seconds before he blows up. And if that isn’t disgusting enough for you, imagine grabbing one of his severed legs and whacking another dude over the head with it until he, in turn, spews even more blood and vomit and flames. Ew. But while fans of graphic gore may get the warm fuzzies just thinking about such brutality, it’s substantially harder getting around Reason Number Two. When Paleo released MoB via online game distributor Steam on March 17th of this year, it did so in error. In serious error. Instead of a final, play-tested product, Paleo mistakenly offered up a thoroughly buggy, almost unplayable alpha build. How and why something so bizarre could happen is unknown, but it was an inauspicious debut to be sure.
