Christopher Paolini

Christopher Paolini is an american novelist and he is best known as the author of The Inheritance Cycle which includes- Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr and the fourth book that is about to show up. He started to write the first book when he was 15 years old. Even though that the critics had strange and not good opinions about the book, he continued the story of  Eragon. And good he did.He didn't let down this project and today he has lots of fans around the world. Too bad that the second film is not released. To be onest, the film was not such a success, even though that lots of people like his books and the film. Such a pity!!!
I mean it!
If you read the books, you'll see !

So, for those who like fantasy, here's something I'm very sure you've never seen before. A fantasy-adventure film based on the novel of the same name written by Christopher Paolini, directed by Stefen Fangmeier. The cast: Edward Speleers- as Eragon; Jeremy Irons-as Brom; Sienna Guillory-as Arya the elfJohn Malkovich-as Galbatorix; Garrett Hedlund-as Murtagh; Robert Carlyle-as DurzaDjimon Hounsou-as Ajuhad; Joss Stone-as Angela; Alun Armstrong; Rachel Weisz - as Saphira's voice.
A great film about friendship, war, lost parents, new life, new powers, a great world, great dragons, new friends, strength, faith, adventure, magic,  fun.
I am not going to tell you anything about the film's adventure so that I let you curiuos about it. But i will give you details about the book. Though, here are some passages from the film:

Vampires, the living-dead

So, we all know that vampires existed for centuries, because human imagination is so rich that gave birth to those eager, immortal creatures.
I've been so curious to get more pieces of information about them since I found out that Dracula was from Romania. :)
So, vampires: mythological beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence: the blood.Vampiric entities have been recorded in almost every culture.  They were supposed to be hideous creatures who scared people at night, suck their blood, who didn't like garlic and the sunlight, who couldn't cross running water, walk on consacrated ground and couldn't get inside a house uninvited by the host.
Vampires are known from old stories and myths. Today, we have them right in front of us: movies, magazines and books. Weird, huh?
They are so trendy now that most of teenagers fell in love with them. But, what is more weird is that I've seen adults reading Twilight!!! I call them MODERN VAMPIRES.
Modern because they are beautiful, sexy and secretly dead, they can take long walks in the park under the sun, they have feelings, they fell in love, some of them are vegetarians (they drink only animal blood).
Today, the vampire tends to be depicted as a suave, charismatic villain.
SO WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS?
OOOOOO! And here's more: since with the Twilight saga stuff, every girl wants a vampire boyfriend!!!!!!!! Well, WHO  WOULDN'T  LIKE  A  BOYFRIEND  WHO  HAS  REPLICAS  WITH  THOUGHT,  WELL-CHOSEN  WORDS,  A  LIFE  EXPERIENCE  OF THOUSANDS  OR  TENS  OF  THOUSANDS  OF  YEARS,  WHO  IS  IMMORTAL,  WHO  HAS  PALE  SKIN,  EYES  COLORED  TOPAZ  AND  WHO  TELLS  YOU: "I'VE  BEEN  WAITING  FOR  YOU  FOR  A  CENTURY???"

If you want to discuss about it, then be my guest!  And girls, sleep on the "vampire boyfriend" stuff. :)

Westlife are awesome!

Este un lucru interesant sa ai blog; asa poti schimba opinii cu multa lume, ca doar asta e asa frumos in viata: avem fiecare opinii diferite.
Deci, Enjoy!

The greatest weekend of this year!

This weekend I was very busy.... HAVING FUN!!!Everything was great, even the sun smiled at us all day Saturday. On Sunday, there were a few clouds on the sky, but they looked so innocent....so that didn't stop me and my friends to walk and talk and laugh a lot. On Saturday I went walking in the great park of Arad with my best friend Ady ; we've also spent some time in Armonia Center and made jokes and laughed a lot.
Then , on Sunday, we went at the mall.

In the afternoon,I went for pizza with my friends . I don't think I've ever laughed that much like yesterday...  So, that's how I've started : that cappuccino was excellent.
Casy is such a gentleman, Cristina is such a love,Florin is a great boy. And when you think they're younger than me. :)

The US Open

The US Open is the last Grand Slam tennis tournament of the season, held at the end of August and the beginning of September at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York. However, this has not always been its location.

The first edition was organised in 1881 as the US National Singles Championship at the Newport Casino in Newport, Rhode Island. Singles and doubles were held, but only men were allowed to participate.

In 1887, the first US Women’s National Singles Championship was held at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Two years later, women’s doubles were organised for the first time, followed by the US Mixed Doubles Championship in 1892.

When the Open Era, the moment that professional tennis players could take part in the competitions, began in 1968, the five events of the US National Championships (men’s and women’s singles and doubles plus mixed doubles) merged into the US Open. From then onwards, the tournament was organised at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, New York. In 1978, the event moved to its current location, the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows.

Until 1975, the US Open was played on grass. Then, the surface changed to Har-Tru clay for three years. Since 1978, when the tournament moved to Flushing Meadows, the surface has been DecoTurf.

Jimmy Connors is the only player to have won singles titles on all three surfaces; Chris Evert has won singles titles on two different surfaces (Har-Tru clay and Deco-Turf).

The tournament’s main court is the Arthur Ashe Stadium (see picture), opened in 1997. Arthur Ashe was an African American player who won the initial US Open in 1968. The second largest court is the Louis Armstrong Stadium, which was opened in 1978 and until 1996 the main court.

The US Open has been the first Grand Slam tennis tournament that introduced a tiebreak in the decisive set. In all three other Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon), the players play until there is a difference of two games in the final set.

Regarding singles titles after 1968, Jimmy Connors, Pete Sampras and Roger Federer are the male record-holders with five titles each; with six victories, Chris Evert is the female record-holder. The US Open was won four times by a Belgian: Justine Henin triumphed in 2003 and 2007, Kim Clijsters in 2005 and 2009.

In 2009, Kim Clijsters touched the world when she took her daughter Jada on the court after her victory.
